Tanah Lot 'is a tourist attraction in Bali, Indonesia. Here are two temples are located on on a large rock. One is located on the boulder and the other is located on the cliffs similar to Uluwatu Temple. Pura Tanah Lot is part of the temple Dang kahyangan. Pura Tanah Lot sea temple is a place of worship the gods of the sea guards.
According to legend, this temple was built by a Brahmin who wandered from Java. He is a successful Danghyang Nirartha strengthen the belief of the Balinese Hindus will be teaching and developing the Sad kahyangan in the 16th century. At that time the ruler Tanah Lot, Bendesa Beraben, jealous of him because his followers began to leave and follow Nirartha Danghyang.
Beraben Bendesa told Danghyang Nirartha to leave the Tanah Lot. Tanah lot situated in the Village Beraban Kediri Tabanan district, about 13 km west of Tabanan. North Pura Tanah Lot is a temple located on the cliff that jutted into the sea.
