Bandengan Beach also known as Tirto Samudro Beach, located 8 km north of the square Jepara, Central Java.
The story is developing in society, Bandengan name can not be separated with the legend of the island of Karimun Java. The legend is told about the concerns above delinquency Sunan Muria his son, Amir Hasan. The Sunan ordered his son to live on an island that looks "kremun-kremun" (vaguely) from the top of the mountain Moriah with the intention that the child is able to reap the science lesson on the island. On the way to the island by Sunan muria Karimun named it, came to his son on a beach that has the marsh and in it there is a lot of fish. Then the son was named the beach with "Bandengan Beach ".
In this tourist boat tours available which are ready to take visitors around in the vicinity of the beach or to the long island which is famous for its rich flora and fauna. Charge Rp. 5000 per person to tour around the coast and Rp 10,000 per person for a single journey to Long Island.
